The Association for Humane Drug Policy, or in Norwegian Foreningen for human ruspolitikk (FHR) is a member-based interest and user organisation in the field of substance use. We work to promote user participation and a harm-reducing drug policy based on human rights.
FHR consists of active and former drug users and supporters. Several of us are in drug-assisted rehabilitation and have been or are in substance use treatment. Several of us also have experience of being carers.
FHR is at the centre of the debate on drug reform, substitution treatment and harm reduction, and has received much recognition for this. We are very active in the media, at events and in contact with politicians. And we participate in many reference groups, expert councils, user councils, committees and working groups. We collaborate extensively with other organisations and public and non-profit bodies. We do outreach work, distributing user equipment, fentanyl strips, naloxone and information.
